Melanie Martin, MD

Melanie Martin, MD, is a staff physician at Samaritan Medical Care Center. She joined our family of physicians in 1997 and is board certified in family practice. She received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky Medical School, graduating with honors, and completed her residency at Hunterdon Medical Center in New Jersey, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Martin is also the Medical Director of Gateway Family Medical Center.

Elham Louis, DO

Dr. Elham Louis joined Gateway Family Medical Center in 2008. A San Jose native, Dr. Louis obtained a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a masters degree in Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine. After Boston, she returned to California to obtain her medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Louis then completed her family practice residency at U.C. Davis Medical Center.

As an Osteopathic Physician, she practices the "whole person" approach to medicine. This means that instead of treating specific systems or illnesses, she regards the whole body as an integrated system, and focuses on preventive health care, patient education and shared decision making. She is dedicated to staying up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of medicine. She speaks Spanish and enjoys her free time cooking, hiking, reading, and traveling with her husband.
